Paris reports heavy fighting continues north of Arras with no change in the line. The French gained a quarter mile near Souchez according to the official report.

Austin May 15 The house education committee favorably reported a bill to establish three normal schools in Texas. The panel amended the measure to require the locating board be composed of the attorney general and top educational officials.
