Federal authorities have not yet decided on a probable course of action in the Frese matter. Representative Al Bill remains sidelined from the table as discussions continue.
The navy department announced renewed decision to keep suspended construction on battleships and four battle cruisers alive despite delays in the Washington Conference naval treaty. It plans to transfer ammunition for main batteries to the war department and replace it if needed before vessel completion.
Walter L. Yisher, Chicago secretary of the interior under Taft, is acting as special attorney for Secretary Wallace in opposing the Armour Morris merger. Hearings resume in Chicago June 18 as Armour has taken over Morris business and plants. Wallace argues the merger would create a monopoly and restrain foreign commerce while enabling price manipulation in livestock markets.
In Duesseldorf on June 2 a bomb explosion cut the main French coal and coke line, tearing up tracks over a long stretch and delaying traffic for some time in the Juhr district.
Fifty three fanatical Moros including Akbara the self styled bullet proof prophet are reported killed in a fight with the constabulary on Pata Island near Sulu. No further uprising details have been received.

Austin reports the senate adjourned after considering the present stance on appropriations. A sub-committee will handle the task of drafting the departmental and clemosynary appropriations alongside other reductions. The clemosynary budget is expected to be cut about one million and departmental funds over half a million.
In Madison Wisconsin on June 2 1930 anti prohibition forces plan to revise the Tucker bill to repeal the prohibition enforcement law in Wisconsin. Assemblyman Paceker says the measure faces defeat in the lower house and will be reconsidered next week. Thomas B Love a Texas Democrat opposes Gov Smith of New York as a possible 1932 presidential candidate linked to opposing the national prohibition amendment through indirect means.
