Public debate on government control and past Texas railways
The column questions government ownership of utilities and recalls Texas railroads and iron mills at Rusk while noting merging telephones may lead to a single system. It comments on insurgents, Governor Tom, a penitentiary inquiry, and a cautious stance on U S naval involvement near Nicaragua. It cites papers from San Antonio to Alice and Dilley, and opines Roosevelt as Panama Canal administrator potential.

Opinion Declares Texas May Accept Imported Game Without Violation
The Texas Attorney General's Office ruled that express companies and other carriers may transport game into Texas from Mexico or other areas without violating state law. The opinion explains that possessing, selling, or buying game killed outside Texas is not an offense, as the act covers transport of wild game beyond or within state borders. It cites Section 10 and Section 1, noting wildlife remains public property and that no prohibition exists on bringing in such game from outside the state.
