Have Purchased Trees for Laredo City Streets

A Chamber of Commerce committee and the Heights Civic Club met at Mrs. J R Moore’s home to plan planting four orange trees in the city. They will place trees on Market Street and Seymour Ave north from the Moore residence toward the cemetery, funded by canvassing property owners, city organizations, and private subscriptions. The Heights Civic Club begins with 50 dollars for six trees. Trees, seven to eight feet high with full foliage, will be shipped from Nuevo Laredo at two dollars each plus one dollar eighty cents for one year of watering and care. If a tree dies within that year it will be replaced.
