Texas Central Power Co ran a contest guessing how long 100 pounds of tea would last in a new refrigerator. Ed Mann won first with 110 hours and Mrs. RK Sharkey took second with 104 hours. The ice lasted 107 hours and five minutes. Winners to collect at the office.
The Laredo Chamber of Commerce calls for immediate action to replace six dips on the San Antonio highway between Juanredo and Wacenal with bridges and culverts. It requests all residents with accident history in the past 18 months to provide dates and extent of personal injury or vehicle damage to emphasize urgent reconstruction.

Hon Robert Lee Bobbitt returned from Houston where he spoke Tuesday at the Veterans Association of Organized Labor meeting held with the Texas Federation of Labor. He reviewed veterans and pioneers of organized labor in Texas before a large auditorium audience as the three day convention featured a strong program. While there he met Lynch Davidson candidate for governor and asked to convey greetings to Laredo friends.

A. Garza Galan declares legal title to subsoil rights for the Sanchez tract in the Municipality of N. Laredo Tamaulipas. The notice appears in Mexico City Official Bulletin March 29 1926 and is filed for future action.
Despite Texas streams flooding in places, the Rio Grande rose twelve feet with minimal damage. Banks and nearby low lands flooded while the city of Laredo remained largely unaffected. Even the 1922 surge at six feet beyond record levels did not inundate surrounding country although the riverfront edged onto adjacent land. The public worried, but Laredo saw little effect.
