The Board agrees to fund and support a survey of public schools starting next week. The survey staff will publish findings in a bulletin without changes and report progress to enlist public cooperation. A special board meeting on February 20, 1928, unanimously approved the proposal and instructed notification to Dewar and the secretary to record the decision.
Petro it, Mich February 24 The Hertz Driverself Corporation announces a wholesale replacement of former Chevrolet models with the new 1928 line across its fleet. Chas W Litsey operating VP and GM says replacements occur regularly due to Chevrolet popularity and low operating costs. Hertz stations nationwide plan rapid expansion of the Bigger and Better Chevrolet lineup to meet demand.
Mexico City TA The largest enrollment ever recorded is expected at the National University of Mexico Summer School for the July 2 to August 16 session. The program aims to teach Spanish language and culture to students and teachers, with courses for businesspeople, linguists, and historians. Additional offerings include phonetics philology literature art history archaeology and Mexican social and political topics.
January freight car loading shows improvement across Missouri Pacific Lines and subsidiaries. Local loading on Missouri Pacific proper reached 129,068 cars, 6,163 daily over 26 days, up from December. International Great Northern January loading 9,665, and Gulf Coast Lines 16,869.
