A caravan of nearly 400 homeseekers from across the United States toured the Winter Garden and Catarina districts in the Laredo area. Charley Ladd, acting as colonization agent, led the party aboard 80 autos, toured gardens and rush districts, and praised Rio Grande trade and irrigation resources. The visitors planned immediate development and hoped many would relocate to the district.
The Interstate Commerce Commission advised Cameron County Texas to allow both the Missouri Pacific and Southern Pacific systems to proceed with rail construction. Missouri Pacific plans an eastward line from Fernando about six miles and a second line near Ben Benito Grande. A new line from Marlingen to Brownsville would cost around 1.6 million dollars and run parallel to MP routes. The investigator found enough business to justify both projects despite MP protest. The commission must decide funding.
Houston police report a collision between a motorcycle and a moving vehicle leaving Robert Lee Whitaker 17 dead and Royola McRobinson 17 seriously injured at the scene near Belt and a string of mov 9 Houston Belt.

A six mile east of Palestine Texas train collision killed an unidentified about 16 year old boy. His companion Cornelius Pattman of Pangburn Arkansas said he met the dead boy in Arkansas and knew him only as Fred. The body lay in a morgue awaiting identification.
