Dublin June 24 reports say Londonderry endured a night of terror as bullets raked streets. Official death toll remains unavailable amid continuous fighting since Friday night. Army, tanks, and medical trains moved in as food shortages intensify and riots ease under heavy guard.
Federal grand jury charges allege misrepresentation in oil securities with over a million dollars defrauded. Four companies and several brokers face trial on schemes to dupe the public, as officials reveal broad fraud across the oil sector. Casper meanwhile launches a labor oriented weekly, The Free Press, edited by John F. Lebeney with Beesie McKinney as business manager.
Fishing is fair in most parts with rainbow and native trout noted in Christine Lake Lander and Middletork while Eacampment Creek Macampment shows poor fishing in main stream and backwater. Little Popoagie Lander reports fair fishing though waters are muddy. Several water bodies including Warm Spring One and Wind River run high and unfishable.
Cheyenne Wyoming June 23 Ninety eight hours of confinement in the garret of the Rawling prison bakery with little food drove William Smith a convict to attempt a fourth escape. He was captured by guards after his third washout. Warden Frank Hadeoll ratified the capture and Smith was reported to have engaged the state prison team Wednesday.
Police broke up a noisy gathering in Kakaako after a nine woman group became involved in a disturbance at a local party. No injuries reported and the incident is under investigation by authorities.

Sheridan June 24 At an adjourned meeting the Sheridan board of education accepted the Jackson Stationery Company bid for textbooks for the coming year. Library books will be supplied by Book Supply Company of Chicago for 206.72. Lumber for the current year goes to Pioneer Company of Sheridan at 2308. The coal contract was tabled for a future meeting.
John A. Jones, sentenced to a year and a day at Leavenworth for pilfering express shipments, reported to the bonding company that held his bond. He is treasurer of the baggage and express men local of the Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks and embezzled $53.30 from local funds, promising to repay before leaving for prison but did not.
San Francisco dispatch outlines Democratic presidential nomination tactics. Palmer aims for about 500 first ballot votes, Cox counts on middle west and key states, Edwards pushes liberty and states rights, Owen draws progressives and drys, McAdoo seen as compromise, others seek firm approval for immediate ratification with no reservations.
