Car Load of Poles for Laramie Telephone Arrives
A carload of cedar poles from Michigan arrived for the Lice Laramie Telephone company in the city. Work to haul them to the line and begin setting poles starts tomorrow. Native poles will replace imported ones where soil contains alkali. Treasurer Ingham reported all materials for the line are on hand and about seven hundred poles are needed to finish the twenty seven miles of holes dug so far.

PURSUIT OF HORSE THIEVES AROUSES ROCK SPRINGS
In Rock Springs Wyoming on June 12 a posse and the paperite pursued three horse thieves believed to be driving a large herd toward the Colorado state line. Alex Logan encountered the trio, demanded his horses, and was forced to retreat as the outlaws drew six shooters. Logan notified officers and pursuit began.
