Wreck of Eastbound Overland Limited Near Como Station
The eastbound Overland Limited No. 2 wrecked near Como, Wyoming, 66 miles west of Laramie. Passengers and crew remained unharmed except for John Shaffer of the Thirty-fifth Infantry who suffered a dislocated wrist and serious leg injuries. The derailed Baldwin locomotive tank caused the derailment as No. 2 met No. 1 at Ramsety. (Note: some OCR errors present)

A west Como yard derailment caused a tank car to overturn and drag for a hundred yards. Emergency brakes halted the train. Several cars including a baggage coach, mail car, composite car and two Pullmans were wrecked. gas lines broke and caught fire briefly. No injuries reported by eyewitnesses.
