Fuel conservation car to tour city yards this week

A special fuel demonstration car led by J R MacDonald will visit local yards to show coal saving methods. Lectures at 10 pm 2 pm and 730 pm urge residents to conserve fuel as government warns of coal car demand this winter. Public invited to attend and ask questions.

Work of Fight Rules Given by War Board

Washington June 7 The new work or fight regulations were ordered by Provost Marshal Gen Crowder. Citizens are urged to report idle or non productive men of military age to local boards which will function as judicial bodies likely meeting weekly. Local boards may issue notices, require affidavits, and summon residents from any district. Records flow to the district board for approval and possible review.

Seventy-One Albany Men Register for Selective Draft

Seventy-one Albany county youths who turned twenty one since June 5 are now ready for military service. Secretary Hasenkamp reports seventy one registered on June 5 and another at Centennial bringing the total to seventy two. They will fill questionnaires, be classified, and sent to training camp. The complete list includes George Jennings Rowe, Louie Zaegler, Carl Fred Puls, Shuer Lurie Berg, Sam Broest Anderson, Amiel Hunstker, George Clifford Baillie, all from Laramie Wyoming.
