Rain disrupted Saturday schedule at Hahns Peak with the train leaving for Calmont destination this morning. A large shipment of shoes arrived Saturday and was shipped east via Union Pacific railroad yesterday.

Enlisted and draft men depart on Saturday night

Two special cars carried fifty nine enlisted men from Laramie on No. 6 Saturday night. Thirty five city youths were sent to Camp Lee Virginia while the rest proceeded to Fort Benjamin Harrison Indiana to join the railway division of the United States army.

Youths of Albany County will register on Wednesday for military service. Three registration sites are Rock River, Tie Siding, and the courthouse coffee shop. Citizens are urged to assist in the registration effort.

Shipments From Laramie Yesterday on the Union Pacific

Four cars of plaster and sixteen cars of ties were loaded and shipped from Laramie yesterday on the Union Pacific. The receipts included one car of terra cotta three ties three coat and two cartons of enamel. Twenty cars of cattle were fed to transit in the local stockyards this morning.
