Rock Springs, Feb. 6. The Union Pacific coal company has closed No. 7 mine for an indefinite period. The married men have been given work in the other mines, which are working four to five days each week. About 250 men were employed in No. 7.

First grazing payment received under migratory sheep law

Albany county today received its first grazing payment for sheep from outed county grazing. AL McWhinney of Converse county paid County Treasurer Harry Maynard a check for 119.40 dollars. Under the migratory sheep law, it is compulsory for flock owners to pay for grazing obtained in foreign counties.
