The Mikkelsen family mourns as Margrethe Mikkelsen dies at 17 from typhoid fever after nursing her mother who recovered. A younger sister also had the illness but recovered. Wyoming & Black Hills Railway organized by Twin City investors

Casper Prosecutor Seeks Fisher in Kassahn Killing Case

Prosecuting Attorney Alex Butler has recommended Allen G Fisher of Chadron to assist in the prosecution of EH B Murphy and others next month for the killing of Fritz Kassahn. Butler will be succeeded Jan 1 by another attorney who plans not to allow Fisher to assist, signaling more legal friction. Murphy, the sheepman, recently stood trial for Kassabn and Mrs Murphy left for Pennsylvania for three weeks. Murphy will return for retrial Jan 13. President P M Shannon of the Pennsylvania Oil and Gas Co. arrived to inspect Casper refinery and Salt Creek wells as a massive pump arrives to be sent to the fields.

T G McMwan, the young man who lost a leg in the railroad yards recently, has recovered enough to walk on crutches. He arrived in Laramie last night to the surprise of his friends.

Agricultural exhibit appropriation looks likely for World’s Fair
