A 26 man US reclamation service crew starts work in Shoshone canyon to build a hydroelectric project on the Shoshone river. The aim is 6200 horsepower for settlers in the Shoshone project with surplus to towns and individuals. Plans include a dam above Corbett diversion dam, a long tunnel, an open cut, Hart mountain tunneling, and a siphon under the river. Initial turbines will produce 4100 horsepower with full development awaiting more turbines.
