Residents of Wolfe near Smith's field plan a picnic at Aroma Lake on August 9. The event starts at two, tea at five, a baseball game at six thirty, followed by a concert and dance at the Demonstration Farm area.
The Cando Sports Day drew large crowds with races for men women and children, nail driving by a teenaged lady, and exciting baseball matches among Wolfe Traynor and Cando. A church concert followed with Mr Wm Reid presiding and Edwin Marshall delivering a popular monologue. Proceeds fund church painting.
Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Judd of Traynor motored to Jackfish Lake on Tuesday. Mr. Bingham of Wolfe was a business visitor in town on Thursday.
Mr and Mrs P J Thompson motored to Wilkie on Saturday. Dr Phoenix moved into his new residence this week. Mr B T Bennett was a passenger to Coblenz on Wednesday. Miss Cushing of Wolfe returns home from Jackfish Lake. The car of binder twine expected by E E Bent arrived and is stored in his warehouse. Mr J Atkinson returned from a business trip to Saskatoon last Saturday. Mr Nelles Nunn and family left Tuesday morning for Jackfish Lake to camp for a few weeks. The Misses McMasters to sing at Wolfe school services next Sunday afternoon. Wolfe school closed for summer. reopen in September. Mr H A McManus resumes services at Wolfe. attendance strong. Chas Edwards dug a cellar for Pp B Nunn on the second lot north of Dr Phoenix's former residence. Mr Nunn plans to move his house to the new lot.
