Landis and district items note Saska toon business visits and births at Landis families. A daughter born to Mr and Mrs Frank Roth of Landis and a daughter Windifred Ann born to Mr and Mrs F W Hingston Cavell. Coyote captured by Sizer Bros Cavell. Community updates include church services resuming, school reopens, Fairbanks lighting plant installation, and a flu outbreak with physicians visiting nearby Kelfield. Leadership changes include Joseph A Dane becoming White Shore Rural Telephone Co President.
Ben J. Kelleway died November 27 after a brief illness at age thirty. Born on the Isle of Wight, he came to Canada with a twin brother as a child and lived in Ontario Manitoba before settling in Landis in 1906. Survived by wife Mies Gamble and three children, he leaves a Saskatoon brother, a Vancouver twin, and relatives in Rainy River and Kenora. Funeral remarks praise him as a kind husband father and neighbor.

The hotel will be closed for now. Walter Kerr and Mike Jackson start work on Mr Jobin Glaister's barn this Monday and aim to raise the lower section this fall. Progressive farmers install electric lighting as a profitable upgrade. Landis remains in darkness despite nearby gains. Mrs KE Wells of Camrose learns her son Sgt John Hunter Wells earns a DCM and bar for Amiens 1918 and Arras work. Wells is wounded and convalescing in England.
The Record notes Saskatchewan paper pricing at 1.00 per year if paid in advance or 1.50 if not. After January 1, price strictness will be enforced and nonpaying names removed from the list with accounts placed elsewhere. A cautious nudge about timely payments.
