Fully 860 people attended the Farm School and Poultry show with lectures by Prof. Parsons, Fiterer, and Dadia man drawing crowded rooms. The educational meeting moved to the assembly room and featured a parent teachers session and a trustees and teachers gathering led by Mayor Maxwell.

In Nebraska City on January 28 the clash between alleged strike breakers and strikers led to a call for a state troop to quell the scene.
