Two Men Killed by Negroes in Fremont County

Reports say two men, a Japanese and a Mexican, were killed near Schoenig by three African American assailants in a cold blooded attack. Sheriff Burch captured the three suspects after a confrontation. one was wounded. All suspects surrendered and were brought to the county jail.

Rescue of Hava Crew by Baron Taech Near Panama

Fifteen crew members from the American bark Hava, wrecked en route to Honolulu from Tahiti, were rescued after drifting 48 hours in lifeboats by the British steamer Baron Taech. They were taken to Balboa and proceed to San Francisco aboard the Hawkeye State.
