Mrs James Carr Laid To Rest At Lander
Funeral services for Mrs. James Carr were held at the Episcopal Church in Lander. She died Sunday evening at 86 and is laid to rest in Mount Hope Cemetery. Survived by three sons James John Frank and two daughters Mrs Charles Bates and Mrs John Sherlock. The Carrs came to Lander Valley in 1890 from Colorado where Mr Carr was a railroad contractor and Civil War veteran.

Mrs Hattie Niklos of Lander was declared mentally ill and committed to the State Hospital at Evanston by a six man jury after court examination. Drs Jones and Replogle testified as part of the case, describing her disturbed state and past erratic actions including an incident in Denver where she caused a disturbance in a fancy district and claimed to thwart looting. The jury found her a fit subject for commitment and officials hope medical treatment will improve her condition.

He is survived by his wife, six sons Edward Arthur Alfred John George and Ray and two daughters Mrs Adams and Mrs Earl McKinney. George resides in Casper. Funeral arrangements pending with Knights of Pythias and Woodmen of Lauder assisting.. George will likely arrive tonight.
