Agway Meeting Draws 4500 Members From 12 States
Nearly 4,500 Agway members from a dozen Northeastern states attended the annual meeting at the Onondaga County War Memorial in Syracuse. Highlights included a flag ceremony, Farm Show exhibits, and an address by U S Secretary of Agriculture Earl Butz. Ronald N. Goddard said last year’s sales rose to 667 million with gains across divisions and warned about Middle East supply disruptions. He urged action to end Phase 4 controls and predicted a solid year for Agway with grain prices rising modestly.
