Cattle calves hogs show mixed results with steers strong to 25 higher on Monday and similar patterns through the week. Slaughter steer prices span high-Choice to standard and include heavy lot yields. vealers firm, cows mixed, bulls higher, and calves returned to farm amid steady hay markets.
New Holland Horse Auction notes 314 head sold with market steady from last week. Load Ohio and Kansas riding horses priced 125 to 190, local work and driving stock ranges. mares, colts, geldings, ponies, and killers listed. Thursday sale showed slaughter cattle movement with mixed weights and grades, veal and hay loads priced per unit.
Wednesday reports show receipts of 114 cattle and 11 heifers with a steady market. Lead cow prices vary by region with Wisconsin New York and Vermont offerings and locally consigned cows and heifers listed. Hay loads include Alfalfa 70 to 75 dollars and Timothy 48 to 52 with straw and ear corn also recorded.
