ANCASTER NEPPCO and PEIA announce a merger effective January 1 1978. NEPPCO members become PEIA members with dues paid through 1978. NEPPCO assets will transfer to PEIA and three NEPPCO directors will join PEIA board.

Wendy Sue Shaw, 16, of Oley Berks County repeated her championship performance at the 22nd Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show in Harrisburg. The 4H member captured grand and senior championships in FFA Holstein with W S Linden Loch R A Sutee as a two year old, also earning grand champion fitter and showman honors. Her family dominated other breed classes with siblings winning across Ayrshire Brown Swiss Guernsey Jersey and Milking Shorthorn.

4 H Member Wins Beef Championship at Lampeter Show
Marjorie Myers 15 from Penn Manor showed the grand champion steer weighing 1155 lbs. a Simmental Anguscross. Tim 14, a fifth year 4H member, showed the reserve steer at 1000 lbs. Jay and Steve McMichael won FFA champion and reserve with 1045 lb Charolais Anguscross and Simmental Hereford cross. Michelle Dean won junior showmanship and Debra Greider won senior.

Sandy Miller, 20, daughter of Ernest and Mrs. Miller of Hamburg, has been named Pennsylvania’s 1977 78 state dairy princess after winning the 21st coronation at Camp Hill. She is a farm girl and 1977 graduate of SUNY Farmingdale with an associate degree.
