State weeded unlicensed horsemeat plant in Factoryville raid
State Agriculture agents with Pennsylvania State Police raided an unlicensed Factoryville packing plant on Nov 12 after entry was refused. Workers removed roughly 435000 pounds of horsemeat for human consumption to Scranton pending final disposition. Ownership changes at the premises were found in recent transfers.
