Deadline Dates For Farm Show Entries Are Set
The 1957 Pennsylvania Farm Show sets entry deadlines for livestock and poultry. Regular classes must file by November 17, with exceptions for 4 H Beef and lambs by December 22 and horse pulling entries also due December 22. State officials expect 2000 plus entries and note growing interest in purebred livestock across the state. General poultry entries also due by November 19.

Frey brothers set top price at Pennsylvania feeder calf sale
Fred Frey Jr and Ernest Frey of Quarryville led bidding at Union Stock Yards Lancaster in the second annual Pennsylvania Feeder Calf Sale. The top lot was a 535 pound Angus consigned by Mrs John B Hannam 3d of Unionville. A total of 323 head sold with Auctioneer Abe Diffenbach driving bids.
