Cattle and calf market report Middleburg May 25 1976
Slaughter steers up to 1.50 higher than last Tuesday with prices 38.75 to 41.75 for Choice No 2 1050 to 1250 lbs. Slaughter cows mostly weaker 25 cents to 2 lower. Vealers 3 to 9 lower. prime vealers 72 to 76. Sheep see few choice lambs 44.50 to 51.50 for 100 to 120 lb woolled. Feeder pigs 35 to 50 per head 20 to 40 lb. Farm calves 40 to 61 for 75 to 105 lb crossbreds.

This week's cattle receipts at Peoria totaled 4600, down from 4900 last week and above 4200 a year ago. Slaughter steers and heifers mostly steady with some 50 cent gains, cows mostly 1 dollar lower, bulls weak to 1 dollar lower.

Slaughter cattle markets show cows weak to $1 lower and spots $2 lower vs last Monday. Vealers uneven with one prime at 74.50 and typical ranges for cattle, hogs, feeders, and sheep listed. hogs up to $2 higher with multiple weight classes, feeder pigs and calves detailed. Livestock variety includes vealers, slaughter cows, bulls, steers, heifers, hogs, sows, feeder pigs, and spring lambs with quoted price bands.
Omaha cattle market closes with mixed weekly gains and declines
Slaughter steers gain up to 2.00, heifers rise 0.50 to 0.75, cows and bulls soften. Four day receipts total 14,800. steer and heifer prices vary by weight and grade with Choice and Prime lots trading near 40 to 41 per cwt. Bulls run 33 to 41, fewer high bids earlier in the week.
