Tuesday reports show barrows and gilts mostly in the mid 24s to mid 25s per hundredweight across U S markets with 315 head in the mix. Sows boars feeder pigs and Indianapolis figures vary by weight 20 to 26 dollars per cwt and per head for light feeder pigs.
Hogs 1203 report mostly 50c lower for barrows and gilts with spots $1 lower. US No 1-2 200-240 lb hogs 25.50-27.00, US 1-3 200-250 lb 25.00-25.50, lighter and heavier weights listed. Boars 19.00-21.00. About 4000 head, fairly active with opening bids down about 25 cents.
In Oklahoma City on Thursday March 9, receipts around 10 500 with larger attendance. Feeder calves 450 pounds and under mostly steady to 1.00 higher with some 2.00 gains. over 450 pounds steady to 50c higher. Feeder steers 300-915 pounds priced from 35.25 to 60.50. Feeder heifers 300-745 pounds priced from 31.00 to 50.50.
For the week ending Thursday March 9 the U S Department logged cattle hogs and sheep slaughter totals. Cattle were 464000 hogs 1404000 and sheep 154000 with daily estimates and regional breakdowns noted in the weekly report.

Average slaughter steer cost for three days was 34.95 at 1126 pounds, with notable loads of High Choice and Prime cattle priced 36.10 to 36.40 per cwt.
Receipts this week total 5000 with last week at 5500 and last year at 1400. Slaughter steers and heifers show mostly steady to higher bids. cows and bulls varying by grade. Prices listed cover High Choice to Prime weights, Holsteins, and utility to canner categories across multiple weight ranges.
