4 H Beef Club Reorganizes in Lititz and Manheim area
Eugene Hasler was elected president of the Red Rose Baby Beef and Lamb club at Brecht Elementary School. Kenneth Weaver and Carol Ann Hess were elected vice president and secretary, with other officers named and dues set at 1.00 for beef members and 0.75 for lamb members. meetings moved to the first Wednesday each month.

Highways Protected From Soil Erosion in 1968 Project
The Pennsylvania Highways Department and Lancaster County Soil Conservation District carried out seeding and mulching on 20 miles of new roads including routes LR 36009 792 36008 344 36007 and 36053. They revitalized grass on slopes medians and islands using 512 tons of 8-16-16 fertilizer 200 pounds of grass seed and 50 pounds of crown vetch seed applied in one flood with a 1000 gallon hydroseeder.
