Bankers Examine New Slurrystore Liquid Manure System
Ag bankers from Lancaster and nearby counties toured a Slurrystore manure system by A.O. Smith on the Myers farm. The unit costs about 18000 dollars and stores roughly three months of manure from a 140 head dairy herd and beef operation. Daily scraping feeds a six day reception pit then a larger storage tank, where solids mix with liquids into a slurry.
