In Iversity Park four schools led the Pennsylvania FFA with top honey medals across 22 contests at Penn State. Solanco New Holland and Red each claimed multiple golds in dairy foods, land judging, meat judging, and related events. Candy Barker named FFA Princess for 1977 78 from Northern Potter High School.

First combined barley exceeds expectations in York County
Bearded Barsey barley shows promise despite cold winter and dry spring.
