Stoner wins county 4-H strawberry title at Hotel Brunswick
Eric Stoner, 15, son of Raymond and Mrs. Stoner of Eden Road, exhibited four boxes of Catskill straw berries from a 400-plant patch to claim the county 4-H championship at the Hotel Brunswick. Runner up was Jerry Snader of Ephrata Ri with Robinson berries. Stoner, a Manheim Township High School 10th grader, attributes the victory to irrigation techniques.
