Unusual elk herd studied in Pennsylvania near St Marys
Researchers from Pennsylvania State University, with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Bureau of Forestry, study a protected herd of about 77 to 80 Rocky Mountain elk in Elk and Cameron counties. The project tracks habitat use, breeding behavior, harems, bugling peaks, and impacts on surrounding land and wildlife.
