FHA Emergency Loan Procedures
The Consolidated Farmers Home Administration Act and Disaster Relief Act authorize emergency loans to farmers and ranchers damaged by natural disasters. Eligible applicants must be established farmers or ranchers, US citizens, with strong management ability, and assessed by a county committee. Loans cover essential operational costs and housing rebuilds, with possible deferral and principal cancellation for major disasters designated by the President. The 1972 4-H Dairy Roundup runs Tuesday and Wednesday July 25 26 at the Guernsey Sales Pavilion Route 30 East of Lancaster. Jerseys Ayrshires Guernseys and Brown Swiss shown Tuesday starting 9:00 am Holsteins shown Wednesday starting 9:00 am Breed champions named on both days about 200 animals expected. Red Rose 4 H Club Hosts Lebanon County Meeting
The Red Rose 4 H Baby Beef and Lamb Club hosted the Lebanon County club at Noah Kreider farm for a July meeting with an ice cream party and queen contest. Kathy Brubaker and Sandy Kreider were named junior and senior queen candidates. Nancy Frey Hershey and Jim demonstrated making a rope halter. The group plans an August 2 all day tour in the Lititz Manheim area.
