John Esh Herd Wins High DHIA Average in Red Rose
John E Esh of Gordonville Ri led 22 Holsteins to a 687 butterfat per cow average and 18 539 pounds milk for 1963, earning gold rosettes at the Red Rose Dairy DHIA annual meeting in Lancaster. Other gold winners include Furry H Frey and Dan Stoltzfus with 649 and 639 fat respectively, while Christ Knapp and Son led 33 cows with 14 700 pounds milk.
