Dairymen seek price hike to aid milk production
Erie and Crawford counties' dairy groups urge the Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board to raise the Class I price by 91 cents to farmers. Dairyman Marion Alsdorf testified that production costs, weather, and rising feed prices threaten output, with costs projected higher in 1973. He cited farm costs and regional price comparisons to support a higher price, noting consumer prices would rise about two cents per quart.
