Local FFA to honor five educators and agribusinessman in Harrisburg

Five Lancaster and Berks area figures receive state FFA honors at the mid winter Harrisburg convention. Phillip Ogline of Garden Spot High School earns Special Citation for teaching service. Jess Elway of Manheim Central High School receives Honary Keystone Farmer degree. Pius L Dillon of Brandywine Heights Area Schools secures Farmer Degree. Miles W. Fry Sr of Ephrata RD3 is named Honorary Keystone Farmer for his agribusiness support and community forestry efforts.

Plans Announced for 8th Dairy Conference

The 8th Annual Southeastern Dairy Conference is set for Tuesday February 16 1973 at 9 30 am at the Guernsey Sales Barn US Route 30 East of Lancaster. Co sponsors include Allis Chalmers Farm Machinery Curtiss Breeding Service John W Eshelman Sons New Holland Supply Co and Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. Dairymen from more than six counties are expected to attend for speakers from all dairy sectors with an informative program door prizes and lunch.
