Imports of unmanufactured tobaccos rise in 1968 seven months
Tobacco imports continue to represent a small share of total cigar consumption. Unmanufactured tobaccos for immediate use in cigarettes and cigars reached 135 million pounds in the first seven months of 1968, up from 109 million pounds the previous year. Turkey and Greece supply most imported tobaccos, with the Philippines and Dominican Republic also contributing.
