Hay show results highlight local growers and winners

National FFA President At Plow Contest Highlights
National FFA President Hershey Bamford called the National Plowing Contest the most elaborate in the United States. Bamford, from Huxton Colorado, represents the 454000-member organization and will testify on farm safety in Washington DC next week. Contests include Jersey show led by Lynmoures Fashion Gail, Balmer’s entries, and champion Holstein Tessie. Local youths and chapters from York, Warwick, Solanco, Lebanon, Manheim, Garden Spot, Cloister, and others claimed top honors in calf and heifer classes with multiple blue ribbons the event's showcase.
