Lancaster 4-H hog round-up names grand champion at stockyards
Lancaster County 4-Hers wrapped their hog fattening season by showing 136 pigs at the Lancaster Stockyards round-up. Kerry Boyd of Ephrata Ri won grand champion with a 215 lb Duroc, selling for 1.16 per lb and bringing in about 247 dollars. Ezra Good of Hatfield Packing Co. bought the grand entry. The sale grossed over 19 thousand dollars with an average of 66.6 cents per lb.
