The Beef Industry Council reported a record year for promotion and education. Activities included a $300,000 state national advertising campaign, 6.2 million consumer materials distributed, 11 magazine insertions, network radio spots, 1,400 posters, 397 newspapers, two TV newsclips, five thousand classroom viewers, and Kraft Foods cooperative promos reaching 40 percent of U S homes.
