A 17 year old Lampeter Strasburg High School senior was selected from seven Lancaster County FFA hopefuls to win the County Star Farmer for 1966. Robert Weaver, Strasburg Ri, youngest of four siblings, earned the title for his balanced farming program and leadership. 4 H Pig Roundup At Stockyards In Lancaster County
The Lancaster County 4H Pig Club Roundup and Sale will be at Union Stock Yards on Tuesday August 23. Judging by breeds starts 8 am with three weight classes per breed and ends by noon. Public auction sales begin at 1 pm. Pigs arrive at the hog barn between 4 and 8 pm Monday.

An official classifier for the Holstein-Friesian Association told about 80 local breeders that a show cow and milk cow can come from the same animal.
