Harper H. Hull of Ventures Chevrolet Lititz Pa credited with supporting a national feat as Chevrolet dealers sold over one million cars and trucks in a 100 day stretch from April 21 to July 31. Hull cited dealer networks and customer support as proof of automotive industry strength and economic impact.
Hull notes Chevrolet sold 3,002,315 vehicles last year and, in a 100 day period with 85 working days, dealers averaged about 12,000 units daily to top the million. The pace runs roughly 10 percent ahead of last year’s three million plus target.
A year long program by AMAX Fly Ash Corporation Atlanta Ga shows fly ash from Georgia Power Company can be recovered classified and sold for use as a cement extender in ready mix concrete and block. More than 60000 tons were shipped in the first year and the spokesman says fly ash produces stronger more durable and impermeable concrete while cutting raw material costs.
