New dairy breaks ground near Carlisle Pennsylvania
Ground was broken five miles south of Carlisle for an 8.2 million reserve milk manufacturing facility. Holly Milk Cooperative and regional cooperatives spearhead the project with 4000 dairy farmers in six states. The plant aims to process 2 million pounds of milk daily, create 30 to 35 jobs, and payroll about 500 thousand dollars annually. Completion is expected within a year.
