Earth Week Ecology Lab In Solanco County Opens Outdoors
Solanco High School and the Solanco FFA run an outdoor ecology lab adjacent to New Providence Elementary School on a four to five acre site with trees a stream and underbrush. During Earth Week more than six hundred elementary students saw the lab and watched the FFA plant trees about 800 to 1000 were planted. Land judging soil testing and native plant life surveys are part of the program to help students learn from nature and become better farmers.
