County FFA speakers place in Lampeter Strasburg event
The Lampeter Strasburg High School FFA public speaking contest saw the runner up from the county, Carl Fahne stock of Manheim Central, with others like John Frey Solanco and Elme Stoltzfus Penn Manor placing in fifth and sixth. Judges were York County vocational agriculture teachers Carroll Thompson Russell Hare and Richard Stauffer. Parliamentary Procedure judging involved Dr Charles Darnbaugh Gerald Snyder and Paul Ludwig. Grassland Chapter team members included Nelson Wert Leon Weaver Clyde Wissler Kenneth Martin Denver Roy Musser John Campbell Fred Nolt Walter Musser, coached by Robert Herr and Gene Daugherty.
