Brown Faces Hanging Sentence At Charlestown Trial

Enraged elephant runs amok in Williamsburg menagerie
In Williamsburg New York on a Friday morning Van Awburg's Menagerie elephant escaped its keeper and rampaged through cages injuring a horse and breaking a wagon. The beast chased by workers and crowds toppled structures, damaged a prairie wolf and bear cage, and plus a zubra pen before being restrained with spears and chains. No deaths occurred though the animal was heavily wounded and not exhibited for days.
