Agree to differ on women delegates in Methodist policy
The Methodist Committee on Eligibility of Women reached a compromise allowing four women delegates to keep their seats but clarifying no victory and preserving future claims. The conference also proposed a constitutional amendment to require all general conference delegates to be over 25 and have five years of membership, with at least one ministerial and one lay delegate per conference.
