A movement seeks to form a working Republican club in Lanark. All supporters of Republican doctrines are urged to enroll, as the campaign requires full effort to insure an honorable victory and reduce fears about the outcome.
National conventions surge since Minneapolis and Chicago events. Democrats nominate Cleveland and Stevenson, while the National Prohibition Party plans a Cincinnati meeting to name its ticket with W Jennings Demorest as a leading figure. Next week the National People's Party will nominate at Omaha, bringing four regular tickets and growing ticket complications.
