Ben Straw's new barn advances, Grandma Templeman relocating from Iowa, and several local folks traveling or recovering from accidents are noted. A baseball outing drew hundreds, but the game disappointed spectators and the organizing committee. Local friction among editors is playfully mentioned as a cautionary aside.
