County approves interstate move and courthouse remodeling push
Dawson County commissioners backed a campaign to designate US 87 as interstate and asked the Highway Department to act. The court also moved to have Architect Harvey Allen finish plans for courthouse remodeling including paneling and new HVAC. Lamesa Country Western Jamboree Set Saturday Night
Lamesa booster club hosts annual Country Western Jamboree in the high school auditorium at 7 30 pm with four top bands. Admission is 1 for adults and 50 cents for students and each band performs 45 minutes followed by a short interlude of other entertainments. Friday Deadline for School Immunization Updates
Friday is the last day for Lamesa School students to update immunization records. Superintendent Neal Chastain says the district will transport students to the Dawson County Health Department for immunizations all day Friday.
